The new US-EU Trans-Atlantic Data Protection Agreement: everything changes because nothing changes?

In this article, Prof. Avv. Alessandro del Ninno critically analyzes the main points of the EU-US political agreement which should form the basis for a new set of rules for the transfer of personal data from the EU to the United States.

From the so-called Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework a series of data protection criticalities arise, as highlighted in the article, which raise doubts about the aptitude of the future regulatory framework to overcome the serious problems highlighted by the EU Court of Justice (in the various judgments on the appeals filed by Maximilian Schrems).
