Lectures on ICT related matters - Rome, 4-5 December 2020.

On 4 December 2020, the monographic lesson is entitled "The application of the data protection legislation: organizational, managerial, legal and technological aspects" and aims to provide an overall picture of how to apply in practice the data protection law rules, evaluating the main operational implications and the most common problems relating to its application in current organizational scenarios (companies, institutions, etc.).
The approach adopted is focused on:
- implementation scenarios of Regulation 679/2016 two years after its entry into force;
- practical profiles of the data protection obligations in the company;
- correct identification of data protection roles within the company;
- setting of personal data processing policies;
- what are the sanctioning risks in terms of sanctions, civil and criminal liabilities.
The lesson focuses on the current regulatory, technological and application scenarios of Artificial Intelligence systems, in light of the consequences and practical consequences - current and future - of the corporate organizational structures.
The didactic approach adopted will allow participants to learn important practical information on:
• current scenarios and framework of Artificial Intelligence;
• impact of AI systems, algorithms and solutions in various sectors;
• the correct identification of the data protection rules to be applied to Artificial Intelligence;
• current and future regulatory and legal changes involved in the spread of AI;
• application scenarios also in the light of other emerging technologies such as the Blockchain.
