Prof. Avv. Alessandro del Ninno discussed a paper within the conference organized on March 10th, 2021 by Paradigma "Cookies, fingerprinting and other web tracking systems". Prof. Avv. Alessandro del Ninno discussed the comparative rules in force on tracking systems as issued by the personal data protection authorities of Italy, France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom. Particular focus was then dedicated to the draft ePrivacy Regulation in the agreed version (with mandate to the EU Council) as of 10 February 2021.
In the second speech, Prof. Avv. Alessandro del Ninno illustrated the rules on tracking technologies as a prerequisite for the applicability of the GDPR to Data Controllers and Managers not established in the European Union, analyzing the practical scope of article 3.2 letter (b) of the Regulation 679/2016.
