Personal data transfers outside the EU after the ruling "Schrems II". Radio interview to Prof. Avv. Alessandro del Ninno.
Interview to Ius web Radio.
Prof. Avv. Alessandro del Ninno released this radio interview on the practical consequences deriving from the recent EU Court of Justice's ruling Schrems II. The ruling declared void the "Privacy Shield" Agreement between the EU Commission and the US Government related to the international data transfers towards the US (EU Commission's Decision no. 1250/2016). On the other hand, regarding the EU Commission Decision no. 2010/87 on the so called standard contractual clauses, the EU Court of Justice ruled about its validity but specified the pre-requirements to be considered for the clauses to be valid. Prof. Avv. Alessandro del Ninno clarifies the practical impact of the ruling and explains how Data Controllers must comply with the applicable rules (after this ruling) regarding the data transfers under way.
