In particular, all the new rules (applicable to both personal and non-personal data), new rights and opportunities for operators (as well as new services are introduced into digital markets) resulting from the DGA are dealt with: from new business models for data brokering (data sharing), to the establishment of robust mechanisms to facilitate the re-use of certain categories of protected public sector data; from the EU-wide promotion of so-called "data altruism" (a mechanism to facilitate the choice of private individuals and public entities to voluntarily make data available for the common good, such as medical research projects based du data shared across the EU) to the creation of European Common Data Spaces for sharing and pooling specific data in specific sectors, to the establishment of mechanisms that ensure control by data subjects and data owners over the data about them and strengthen their awareness for the effective exercise of rights.
