In this workshop organised by Paradigma, Alessandro del Ninno provided an in-depth analysis of the new Italian regulatory framework governing Artificial Intelligence, examining Law No. 132/2025 and its implementing Legislative Decrees Nos. 160/2026 and 179/2026, including their interaction with the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act).
The presentation addressed the legal obligations and liabilities of businesses, public authorities and professionals, focusing on AI applications in employment, healthcare, professional services and law enforcement. Particular attention was devoted to national AI governance, the powers of supervisory authorities, enforcement and sanctions, civil and criminal liability, data protection and intellectual property rights.
The workshop also explored the operational aspects of regulatory compliance, including risk management, supplier relationships, human oversight and the identification of organisational and contractual compliance priorities, supported by a practical case study on the use of AI in human resources management.
