Prof. Avv. Alessandro del Ninno was interviewed by Key4Biz, the online newspaper of Economics, Law and Technology on the recent statements by Meta's managers regarding the possible abandonment of the European market, in which the Facebook and Instagram platforms could be made unavailable, following the critical issues that are increasingly arising with reference to the constraints for the transfer of personal data from Europe to the United States.
In the interview, Prof. Avv. Alessandro del Ninno highlights the current regulatory scenarios regarding the transfer of data outside the European Economic Area and recalls the other regulatory initiatives of the EU Legislator (eg: proposal for a Regulation on Digital Services) against which Meta seems to address its statements.
