In this interview, Prof. Avv. Alessandro del Ninno discusses the negative opinion of the Italian Data Protection Authority regarding the two decree schemes implementing the so-called Health Data Ecosystem (EDS) - which would become the largest centralized database of the country, containing health data of citizens - and of the Electronic Health Record (FSE), which from 2012 until the recent reform with decree 4/2022 introduced a system for the management and access to information on the health "history" of any individual who has consented to the inclusion of their health data in the system.
